MiniCAD (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website minicad.io and provides professional 3D CAD design services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who processes it for us, how long we keep it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

By using our website, requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact information: full name, email address, WhatsApp number or phone number.
  • Project details: project descriptions, specifications, dimensions, budget and notes submitted through the quote form.
  • Uploaded files: sketches, photos, CAD files, PDFs and other reference materials uploaded through the quote form or chat, or shared by Google Drive.
  • Communications: messages sent through the chat on our website, by email or by WhatsApp, and your answers to our follow-up and feedback questions.

Payment Information

Payments are processed entirely by third parties: PayPal, Payoneer, and the banks that handle wire transfers. We never see, store, or have access to your card numbers or payment credentials. We keep a record of each invoice and payment (amount, date, method and the payment reference).

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time on page, referral source, browser, device and operating system, collected by Google Analytics through the Google tag.
  • Session recordings and heatmaps: clicks, scrolling and mouse movement on our pages, collected by Microsoft Clarity to improve the website.
  • Advertising data: the ad you clicked to reach us (such as a Google click ID and campaign tags in the page address) and conversion events such as a quote request, used by Google Ads to measure our advertising.
  • Error data: technical details of errors in your browser, which may include a short replay of the page around the error, collected by Sentry so we can fix problems.
  • Technical data: IP address, server logs and cache data, collected by our hosting provider (Hostinger) and caching system (LiteSpeed Cache). When you request a quote, start a chat or leave your details, we look up the country of your IP address to understand where our clients come from.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

  • Preparing quotes and processing and delivering your CAD design orders.
  • Communicating with you about your project: updates, questions, delivery notifications and revision feedback.
  • Sending quotes, invoices, order confirmations and other project-related emails and messages.
  • Improving our website and services through analytics, session recordings and error reports.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising.
  • Responding to your inquiries and providing customer support.
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

3. File Storage & Retention

  • Your uploaded reference files and completed project deliverables are stored in a private Google Drive folder specific to your order, organized by your unique reference number (ORD-XXXXXXXXXX). Files pass through our web server while they are uploaded.
  • Access to your project folder is restricted to the MiniCAD team working on your project.
  • We may permanently delete project files 90 days after final delivery.
  • You may request early deletion of all your files at any time by contacting us.
  • We strongly recommend downloading all delivered files promptly upon receiving the delivery notification.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential (LiteSpeed Cache and our website): page caching and proper site functionality. Our website also stores in your browser a draft of a form you have started, the page address you arrived on (so a quote request can be linked to the ad or campaign that brought you), and your chat session.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): how visitors use our website: pages visited, session duration and referral sources.
  • Session recording (Microsoft Clarity): how visitors interact with our pages, to find and fix usability problems.
  • Advertising (Google Ads): whether a visit or quote request came from one of our ads.
  • Advertising (Meta Pixel, planned): when added, whether a visit or quote request came from one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram.

When you check out in the MiniCAD Marketplace, your name, email, phone, country and printer choice are saved in your browser on that device so checkout is filled in for you next time. To remove them, choose Forget my details at checkout.

We use Google Consent Mode. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s analytics and advertising storage is denied by default. We do not show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with the tool linked in section 7. Blocking non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to request a quote or place an order.

6. Data Security

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our website is protected by SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS).
  • Project files are stored in access-restricted Google Drive folders.
  • We do not store any payment credentials; all financial transactions are handled entirely by third-party payment providers.
  • We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to deletion: request deletion of your personal data and all project files.
  • Right to portability: request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: object to processing of your data for marketing or analytics purposes.
  • Right to opt out of tracking: opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and adjust Google ad personalization in My Ad Center.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has submitted personal data to us, please contact us immediately at contact@minicad.io and we will promptly delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

MiniCAD is based in Alexandria, Egypt. If you access our services from outside Egypt, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in Egypt and in the countries where our service providers operate. By using our website and services, you consent to this transfer. We use internationally recognized service providers that maintain their own data protection standards and compliance frameworks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
