These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the MiniCAD website (minicad.io) and all design services provided by MiniCAD (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order or using our services, you (“client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Services
MiniCAD provides professional SolidWorks design services including 3D CAD modeling, 2D technical drawings, product rendering, 3D printing file preparation, reverse engineering, and related engineering services. A full description of our services is available on our Services page.
2. Placing an Order
Order Process
- Orders are placed through the online order form at minicad.io/order.
- You may select a standard package (Basic, Standard, or Premium) or request a Custom Quote for projects that do not fit a standard tier.
- By submitting an order, you confirm that all project information, descriptions, and specifications you provide are accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- Each order receives a unique reference number (MC-XXXXXX) for tracking and communication purposes.
Custom Quotes
- Custom quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in the quote.
- You may accept or decline a quote directly from the quote email. Declining a quote carries no penalty or obligation.
3. Pricing & Payment
Pricing
- All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).
- Current package prices and included deliverables are displayed on our Pricing page and in the order form.
- Pricing is flat-rate per package — no hourly billing and no hidden fees.
- Add-on services (extras) are optional and clearly priced at checkout.
- We reserve the right to update package prices at any time. The prices in effect at the time of your order placement apply to that order.
Payment Methods
- We accept PayPal, bank transfer via Wise (ACH/SWIFT), and Payoneer.
- For standard packages, full payment is required at the time of ordering before work begins.
- For custom quotes, payment is required after you accept the quote and before design work begins.
- For large or complex projects, partial payment arrangements may be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Coupon Codes
- Coupon codes may be applied in the designated field during checkout.
- Codes are single-use, cannot be combined with other offers, and may have expiration dates.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any coupon code at any time without notice.
4. Delivery
- Completed files are delivered via email notification and a private Google Drive folder specific to your order.
- Delivery timelines are selected at checkout and vary by package. Standard delivery is included in the package price; expedited timelines carry an additional fee displayed before payment.
- Delivery timelines begin after payment is confirmed. For custom quotes, the timeline begins after payment following quote acceptance.
- If we anticipate a delay beyond the selected timeline, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide an updated estimate.
- Project files are retained on Google Drive for 90 days after final delivery. After this period, files are permanently deleted from our systems. We strongly recommend downloading all files promptly upon delivery.
5. Revisions
- Each package includes a defined number of revision rounds:
- Basic Package: 1 revision round
- Standard Package: 3 revision rounds
- Premium Package: 4 revision rounds
- Custom projects: As specified in the accepted quote
- A revision is defined as any modification to the approved design — adjusting dimensions, modifying geometry, changing features, or updating tolerances — within the original agreed-upon scope.
- Additional revision rounds beyond your package allowance are available as a paid add-on at the rate shown on the order page.
- Requests that significantly change the original scope, concept, or design direction are considered new work and may require a separate quote.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Before Work Begins
- You may cancel your order at any time before design work has started, and you will receive a full refund.
- To request cancellation, contact us immediately via email at [email protected] or via WhatsApp.
After Work Has Started
- Once design work has begun, orders cannot be cancelled and refunds are not available.
- We are committed to delivering work that meets your agreed-upon specifications. If you are not satisfied with the initial delivery, we will work through your included revision rounds (and any purchased add-on revisions) to refine the design until it meets your requirements.
- In exceptional circumstances, cancellation requests after work has started may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Non-Refundable Situations
- Refunds are not issued for completed and delivered projects.
- Refunds are not issued once the design phase has commenced.
- Dissatisfaction with the result does not constitute grounds for a refund if the deliverables match the scope and specifications agreed upon at the time of ordering.
7. Intellectual Property
Ownership Transfer
- Upon receipt of full and final payment, all intellectual property rights to the delivered design files are transferred to you.
- You may manufacture, modify, license, sell, distribute, or otherwise use the design without restriction or limitation.
- MiniCAD retains no rights, claims, royalties, or interests in your design after full payment is received.
Portfolio Usage
- We may request your permission to feature your project in our online portfolio and marketing materials.
- Portfolio inclusion is entirely optional and requires your explicit written consent.
- We will never share, publish, or display your work publicly without your prior approval.
Before Full Payment
- Until full payment is received, all design files and deliverables remain the intellectual property of MiniCAD.
- Preview files (such as watermarked images or low-resolution renders) shared before final payment may not be used for any commercial purpose.
8. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure
- All project files, designs, descriptions, specifications, and communications are treated as strictly confidential.
- We will never share, publish, reuse, or disclose any client work or project information without your explicit written permission.
- We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting your project. You may provide your own NDA template, or we can supply one upon request.
- Confidentiality obligations remain in effect indefinitely and survive the completion, cancellation, or termination of any project.
9. Client Responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing accurate and complete project descriptions, dimensions, specifications, and reference materials.
- You confirm that any files, sketches, images, or reference materials you upload or share do not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyrights.
- You are responsible for verifying that all deliverables meet your requirements before proceeding to manufacturing or production.
- MiniCAD is not liable for manufacturing defects, material failures, production errors, or any losses resulting from the use of delivered design files in manufacturing or production processes managed by third parties.
10. Limitation of Liability
- MiniCAD provides design services to the best of professional engineering standards. However, we are not liable for:
- Manufacturing defects, material failures, or production issues resulting from the use of delivered files by third-party manufacturers.
- Tolerance, material, or process issues introduced during manufacturing outside our control.
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or delivered files.
- Delays or issues caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading project information provided by the client.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to a specific order shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that order.
11. Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or any order, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through direct communication via email or WhatsApp within a period of 30 days.
- If an amicable resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Alexandria, Egypt.
12. Service Availability
- MiniCAD operates 7 days a week to ensure prompt delivery and communication.
- We reserve the right to decline or refuse any order at our sole discretion, including projects that involve illegal products, weapons, or items that violate our ethical standards or applicable laws.
- Website availability is maintained on a best-effort basis. Temporary downtime for scheduled maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues does not constitute a breach of these Terms.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as payment processors, portfolio platforms, and social media). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites. We encourage you to review their respective policies before engaging with them.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Orders placed before a change are governed by the Terms in effect at the time the order was placed.
