Manufacturing-ready 2D drawings built to ISO and ASME standards. Show More
A technical drawing service online is only as useful as the engineer producing the drawings understands the manufacturing process those drawings will drive. At MiniCAD, our 2D engineering drawings are produced in SolidWorks Drawing mode and annotated to ISO 1101 or ASME Y14.5-2018 GD&T standards — with every datum reference, feature control frame, and surface finish symbol selected to reflect actual functional requirements, not applied to satisfy a superficial checklist.
What Every Drawing Includes
Standard deliverable set: front, top, and side orthographic views; section views wherever internal geometry demands them; GD&T feature control frames with correct datum references; surface finish symbols; material and finish specification block; and a title block with part number, revision letter, scale, and drawing history. Formats delivered: PDF for print and RFQ submission, DWG for AutoCAD-compatible CAM environments, and SLDDRW native SolidWorks file. All delivered under our solidworks design services — one order, one price.
GD&T and Standards Compliance
We apply ASME Y14.5-2018 for US-based manufacturing and ISO 1101 for international fabrication, based on your vendor location. Datum feature symbols, basic dimension boxes, and feature control frames reflect the functional tolerance requirements of your part — not generic annotations. For close-tolerance machined parts, we annotate in both metric and imperial to prevent unit-conversion errors at overseas suppliers. The ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard is the governing document our engineers reference for every drawing we produce. See our 2D technical drawing portfolio item for a real shop drawing delivered for manufacturing.

From SolidWorks Model to 2D Drawing — No Estimation
When your SolidWorks file already exists, we extract the 2D drawing directly from the model geometry — every dimension is model-driven, not measured or estimated by hand. This eliminates dimensional discrepancies between 3D and 2D deliverables, which are the leading cause of machining errors on first-article parts. If you only have a sketch or physical sample, we build the mechanical design services model in SolidWorks first, then produce the drawing in the same order at a bundled rate.
Manufacturing Use Cases We Cover
CNC machining RFQs requiring full GD&T annotation. Sheet metal fabrication with bend tables, flat patterns, and k-factor callouts. Injection mold design reviews documenting parting lines, draft angles, and gate locations. Patent application technical illustrations conforming to USPTO drawing rules. Quality control inspection plans with critical dimension callouts and measurement sequence. Our custom cad design service has handled all of these across 9+ years and 40+ countries — including drawings for parts destined for cad design for 3d printing validation alongside CNC-machined final production parts.

Pricing and Delivery
2D drawing orders start at $34 for a single-part orthographic set and deliver within 24 hours. Complex multi-view assemblies with BOM tables are priced at the Standard or Premium tier. Review the full price list at Pricing.
Revision Management and Drawing Updates
Engineering drawings are living documents. When a design changes — whether from manufacturing feedback, a fit issue discovered during assembly, or a supplier’s tolerance request — the drawing must be updated and re-issued with a new revision letter and change history entry. Our technical drawing service online includes revision management as a standard practice: updated drawings are re-issued with a proper revision block, change description, and date — not delivered as a new file with no traceability to the previous version. For clients with ongoing product development, we maintain drawing templates in our studio that preserve your title block format and part numbering conventions across all revisions, keeping your engineering documentation consistent without additional setup on your end.
Place Your Order
Upload your SolidWorks file, STEP, DWG, or sketch at Order. Specify the manufacturing process and target region so we apply the correct annotation standard. Contact us at Contact for complex drawing packages requiring scope discussion before ordering.
